On my bedside table I can here my watch tickin’
The refrigerator’s hummin’ and the sink is drippin’
It’s 3 AM and I lie awake alone
This old house talks with its creaks and groans
Whispers in the dark as the night winds moan
Another endless night filled with empty sounds

I hear every bump and thump in the night
Until it turns to dawn
